ANGEL is the first one to greet you at the gate, and you love to see her, every day. 

This bright and beautiful young mare has a lovely face and big Spanish eyes.  Her conformation is beautiful as well, ANGEL has the excellent ‘three circle’ body and the correct legs and feet of her dam, the famous *JEZABEL SSB +//. US and Canadian National Champion Jumper.  JEZABEL has twenty two National awards in Working Hunter, Jumper and Hunt Seat Equitation.  JEZABEL is still sound and ridden at the age of twenty six, after going the distance as a show horse and as a brood mare. 

We have outstanding memories of JEZABEL and her jumping career.  In an early all breed schooling show, where JEZABEL won the Jumpers, a cowboy standing at the rail remarked, “Well, she was the littlest horse here.  But she jumped the biggest”.  And the nice lady at a Pebble Beach Open show, who came to the gate to inquire about JEZABEL after she won again with her smoking hot turns. “What kind of horse IS that”?   

*JEZABEL won the US National Championship in a second timed jump off at 4’ 3”, galloping in such a forward way over the high jumps, with one impossible inside turn (optional) to a fan shaped triple bar. *JEZABEL +// had a clean round with the fastest time.  Judge Victor Hugo-Vidal remarked in his dry fashion, “Now, THAT was EXCITING”.  We appreciate the comment; Victor was one of our best judges, and had seen years of the best in the Open Jumper world.   

Beautiful and sweet yes, and ANGEL has already shown the exceptional jumping talents of her dam*JEZABEL SSB +//, ANGEL jumps easily and with great form in the free jump arena.  ANGEL also shows the excellent Dressage talent of her sire *S S ORION,  Region III Champion Third Level Dtrssage Musical Free Style.  ORION has Regional and National awards in Hunter-Jumper classes. ANGEL is already a winner in her first Dressage show.  

ANGEL’s grandsire is the great *DIAMANTE (GALERO X SAETA by JACIO). ANGEL SO FAR can go the distance for an owner who would like to show to the top, from proven winning ancestors.  Stanley Ranch has had an outstanding ride with *JEZABEL SSB +//.  She has helped to make the name of our breeding farm what it is today.  JEZABEL’s daughter ANGEL SO FAR could do the same for you.

The only offspring of Legion of Excellence *JEZABEL SSB +// and *S S ORION, bred by Princesa Teresa de Borbon of Spain, and the only stallion bred by Princess Teresa in the USA. *S S ORION was imported from Spain and is a US Nationals winner, son of FAKETEKO and grandson of ZACATECO, World Arabian Horse Organization (WAHO) ‘Best of Spain’ winners 2007 and 2005.

BALDOSA (MAQUILLO X HABLADURIA by NANA-SAHIB) 1960 Chestnut mare. Yeguada Militar de Jerez.  Dam of 11 offspring.  435 Grandget.  First son: GARBO, last son ZACATECO.  This one mare produced the leading stallions at the Yeguada Militar of the past thirty to forty  years, in her first son GARBO (X ORIVE), who has one thousand two hundred and fifty get presently, into the 2nd generation and then, in her last foal, ZACATECO (X  JACIO), WAHO award for Spain 2005), the mighty BALDOSA produced the leading stallion of the following two decades.   

CARETA II (CONGO X URGANA by MAQUILLO), 1956 Chestnut mare. Bred by the Yeguada Militar.  Sold to d Diego Mendez Morena 1977.Considered by many to be one of the very best daughters of CONGO.  Dam of SAETA (who produced *DIAMANTE), and several other offspring exported from Spain.  

CONGO (ILLUSTRE X TRIANA by URSUS) 1941 Grey stallion, Bred by d. Jose Maria Ybarra.  Sold to the Yeguada Militar 1945.  Died 1965.  One of the all time great breeding stallions of Spain, CONGO was a Yeguada Militar stallion, sire of TABAL, DANDI II. CARETA II, ZALEMA, DANZA II. ELEGANCIA, SOMALIA and more. They say a great stallion is proven if he has more get into the second generation.  CONGO had 87 offspring, and 543 grandget. 

DAIKIRI (MIKADO X POLKA by SACUDIR), 1984 Chestnut mare, bred by S.A.R Princesa Teresa de Borbon, Marquesa de Laula.  This extremely beautiful and kind natured mare is out of Spanish Supreme Champion Mare POLKA (SACUDIR X NEVISCA by TABAL), also bred by dna. Teresa.  DAIKIRI’s granddam is NEVISCA (TABAL X CAMPERA), 1962 Grey Mare, the foundation mare of Princess Teresa’s  stud farm, Yeguada Flor de Lis. 

*DIAMANTE (GALERO X SAETA by JACIO), 1982 grey stallion, bred by Stanley Ranch. Sire of *JEZABEL SSB +//, grandsire of ANGEL SO FAR.  *DIAMANTE was a ‘star’ producer and honored for three years running as Meritorious Sire for the Arabian Sport Horse Assn, for the wins of only two daughters *JEZABEL SSB +// and *JOYAMIA +//.  *DIAMANTE was a story book horse, a beautiful alabaster white stallion with big black eyes and a flowing mane and tail.  *DIAMANTE was a delightful horse to ride galloping in the desert.  See complete information in ‘Ancestors’ and ‘accomplishments’ at www.stanleyranch.com. 

FAKETEKO (ZACATECO X ZAKATEKA by MARMOL).  1988 Chestnut stallion.  Sire of *S S ORION, born near Madrid at the Flor de lis Stud of S.A.R. Princesa Teresa de Borbon, Marquesa de Laula.  FAKETEKO was named WAHO (World Arabian Horse Organization) ‘Horse of the Year’ for Spain 2007.  His sire ZACATECO was WAHO horse for Spain 2005. 

There have been articles of tribute written about GALATIFE (GANDHY X VERACRUZ), 1943 grey mare.  There is no doubt that GALATIFE was the single most important classical Spanish female in her influence into succeeding generations.  GALATIFE was dam of the stallions ORIVE (sire of GARBO). DANDI II (by CONGO), and GALEON (by ZANCUDO). GALATIFE was dam of TEORICA, who produced JACIO, and ZALEMA, who produced GALERO.  Her descendents number into the thousands, and so GALATIFE must be considered one of the females that ‘set’ the type of Arabian in Spain.  GALATIFE was also famed in a photo as one of the ‘famous’ three best daughters of GANDHY out of VERAGUA mares. 

GALERO (ZANCUDO X ZALEMA by CONGO). 1965 Grey stallion, bred byYeguada Militar de Jerez. The famous GALERO, sire of numerous Spanish Champions and Supreme Champions, and Champions in many countries, as GALERO had numerous offspring that were exported. A private breeder from the USA offered the Spanish Military one million dollars for GALERO.  He was informed that the Yeguada Militar does not sell stallions at any price.  Later, GALERO was posted to a private Stud Farm in Spain, and subsequently was stolen, they think by gypsies, and never heard from again.  There are several articles about GALERO - The Romance of GALERO, the Mystery of GALERO, etc., which can be found on www.stanleyranch.com or www.SAHS.com. 

JACIO (TABAL X TEORICA), 1968 grey stallion, bred by the Yeguada Militar de Jerez.  One of the most exotically beautiful sons of TABAL, also inheriting beauty from his dam TEORICA (BARQUILLO X GALATIFE). JACIO  is well known for beauty in his offspring.  In the USA, we are most familiar with his son *G G SAMIR.  JACIO is also sire of *SIDI-BRAHIM, and several JACIO daughters were exported to the USA. 

*JEZABEL SSB +// (*DIAMANTE X KADOFA). 1987 Chestnut mare, bred by  Stanley Ranch.  Canadian and US National Champion Jumper, Working Hunter, Hunt Seat Equitation, Hunter Pleasure.  Dam of ANGEL SO FAR.  JEZABEL has earned Twenty two National awards, Legion of Honor, Legion of  Supreme Honor and Legion of Excellence.  *JEZABEL also hunted with Los Altos Hounds, ridden in Hunt Club Race meets by Lisa Stapleton.   JEZABEL is still ridden by the family today.  

KADOFA (ZANCUDO X OCALINA), 1969 Chestnut Yeguada Militar mare,  purchased by Stanley Ranch. KADOFA was never able to be imported to the USA. Four of her daughters were produced and imported by the Stanleys. Of those four daughters, three became Canadian and US National Champions in Working Hunters and Jumpers, *GALAXIA SSB +/ (X NEGAL), *IBERIA (X GEBEL TARIK), and *JEZABEL SSB +// (X *DIAMANTE).  The fourth daughter, *EFIGIE (X MARMOL), was Regional Champion in Pleasure Driving, Informal Combination, Country Pleasure and Show Hack.  KADOFA was a ‘sire producer’, as her offspring each strongly resembled the sire, but all inherited her heart and winning ways. A friend told us, after looking at our herd of horses “You should put up a statue to KADOFA”. 

MARMOL (TABAL X ESCALA II), 1971 Chestnut YM stallion, on loan to Yeguada Flor de lis and a few years later to Stanley Ranch.  The MARMOL offspring tended to be tall, with beautifully set necks, a fine hair coat, extreme motion and athletic ability.  *ESPERANTO ( X CANTINERA II),  *ELENA ( X *SANDUNGA), and *EFIGIE (X KADOFA) were born at Stanley Ranch, and all were importable quality. Princess Teresa had numerous outstanding offspring from MARMOL including ZAKATEKA (X SAMARKANDA – Supreme CH Mare of Spain).   ZAKATEKA Is dam of FAKETEKO, WAHO winner 2007 and sire of *S S ORION. 

MIKADO (SACUDIR X RAPOSA), 1968 Chestnut Stallion.  Very typey, short coupled liver chestnut stallion with excellent high trotting action.  Spanish National Champion Get of Sire. 

NEVISCA (TABAL X CAMPERA).  1962 Grey mare, bred by Munos-Rojas.   Founding mare of Flor de lis Stud, Marquesa de Laula.  Every Arabian at Princess Teresa’s Stud traces to NEVISCA, a lovely grey mare, much like the TABAL daughter *ESTOPA, a mare of extreme quality and Arabian type.  NEVISCA was a gift from Inigo, Marques de Laula to his wife, Princess Teresa, Marquesa de Laula.  don Inigo remarked that he could have had ten ordinary horses for the price of one mare, NEVISCA.  The heritage of NEVISCA lives on in numerous Spanish Supreme Champions and WAHO ‘Horse of the Year’ for Spain, FIOLEK and FAKETEKO. 

OCALINA (SIRIO IV X FARINA), 1951 Chestnut YM mare.  Famous producer at the YM, dam of seventeen offspring.  Too many champions in her lineage to mention.   Dam of KADOFA and IABA (X ZANCUDO), and many more.  A very important mare. 

POLKA (SACUDIR X NEVISCA).  1971 Chestnut mare, bred by S.A.R Teresa de Borbon, Yeguada Flor de Lis. Supreme Champion mare of Spain.  Dam of DAIKIRI, granddam of *S S ORION.  A beautiful mare of rare quality. 

RAPOSA (DAMASCO III X JARANA), 1853 Grey YM mare.  *GHAZEL tail female line. Dam of MIKADO, PAKISTAN, MEKTOUB.  See article on *GHAZEL female line at www.stanleyranch.com.

SAMARKANDA (MIKADO X NEVISCA)  1974 Grey Mare, Supreme Champion Mare of Spain.  Granddam of WAHO Trophy winner FAKETEKO, G Granddam of  *S S ORION. Bred by S.A.R. Princesa Teresa de Borbon, Marquesa de Laula. 

*S S ORION (FAKETEKO X DAIKIRI).1993 Liver chestnut stallion, bred by Yeguada Flor de Lis.  ORION is Region III Third Level Musical Free Style Champion.  This stallion has won Regional Championships in Working Hunter, Jumper and Hunter Hack  and US National Top 10 in Hunter Hack.. *S S ORION has had Championships in Training, First, Second and Third Level Dressage. ORION has won High Score awards at Open Dressage Shows, notably the Sierra Nevada Dressage fall Finals, where ORION was High Score Dressage Horse against all breeds. This was the final Dressage show judged by the famous Peter Lert. *S S ORION has sired Champions in the following Sport Horse Disciplines: Stallion in-hand, Sport Horse under Saddle, Sport Horse Suitability under Saddle, Adult Equitation, Hunter Hack, Working Hunter, Distance Riding.  ORION has offspring with Dressage awards in the Training, First and Second levels, including Scottsdale High Score Dressage Horse in Training, First and Second Levels (SI SI SAVVY - GRANADA I).  ORION is paternal grandson of ZACATECO (JACIO X BALDOSA), and maternal grandson of the elegant Spanish Supreme Champion Mare POLKA (SACUDIR X NEVISCA), bred by Princesa Teresa de Borbon.

Teresa de Borbon, Marquesa de Laula.  ZAKATEKA’s dam SAMARKANDA (MIKADO X NEVISCA), 1974 grey mare, was Spanish Supreme Champion Mare 2002.  ZAKATEKA is dam of WAHO trophy winner FAKETEKO, sire of *S S ORION and grandsire of ANGEL SO FAR. 

ZACATECO (JACIO X BALDOSA by MAQUILLO) 1980 Liver Chestnut  YM Stallion. Listed FIRST in the Stallions Book of Records at the Cria Caballar in Madrid.  ZACATECO was the first Spanish stallion to win the WAHO (World Arabian Horse Organization) Trophy for Spain, awarded in 2005.  ZACATECO by JACIO was the last son of the legendary BALDOSA (also the dam of GARBO, by ORIVE). 

ZALEMA (CONGO X GALATIFE by BARQUILLO).1958 Grey mare.  Dam of GALERO.  Bred by the Yeguada Militar de Jerez.  A well balanced and substantial brood mare of excellent quality. 

ZANCUDO (CONGO X YAIMA)  1958 Chestnut YM stallion.  The only chestnut son of CONGO.  ZANCUDO  founded a large and consistent heritage mostly through his big and high trotting chestnut daughters.  ZANCUDO is known as a broodmare sire supreme.  In the pedigree of ANGEL SO FAR, we find ZANCUDO twice, as sire of GALERO, (X ZALEMA) grey stallion, and as sire of the exceptional KADOFA ( X OCALINA), chestnut mare. A heritage that is tops in producing quality Classical Spanish Arabians.
