Tail female line to KADRANKA. KADRANKA was a grey born at Sachny, in Poland, 1903. Her sire was Koubeschan Ebni, d.b. and her dam Satrya, by Seglawi II out of Arabka. She was imported by the Yeguada Militar in 1906 and died in 1916. A time honored way to breed horses (and hounds also, says Llynn Lloyd of Red Rock Hounds) is the adage “let the sire of the sire be the grandsire on the dam’s side. The sire of BARBARELA’s
sire is the outstanding *ESPERANTO (MARMOL X CANTINERA II). You will

*ESPERANTO (MARMOL X CANTINERA
II), 1983 Bay stallion, Stanley Ranch bred. Successful show horse,
Stallion in-hand, and High Score Halter Stallion of Wisconsin, also Champion
English Pleasure. *ESPERANTO has offspring that are Champions in numerous
disciplines. *ESPERANTO, with his big MALVITO eyes, charisma, and
power of impulsion which fueled his big trot, left a legacy in both his
sons and daughters.
CANTINERA II (MALVITO
X URAL) 1961 Bay YM mare. CANTINERA II was always known at the Yeguada
Militar as the ‘Queen of Spain’, and the best daughter of MALVITO.
In BARBARELA’s pedigree you find CANTINERA II as dam of *ESPERANTO, also
as the granddam of VARDULO (YM stallion posted to Stanley Ranch near Seville.)
CANTINERA II produced UVAL, PALMA REAL and SABLE, who all stood as stallions
at the YM. All three sired Spanish National Champions.
These strong connections to the great CANTINERA II are balanced by the three crosses to MARMOL, (TABAL X ESCALA II) 1971 YM stallion, Chestnut, 16 hh.. You will find two lines to MARMOL as sire of *ESPERANTO and one line as sire of the great Hunt Mare *ELENA. *ELENA (MARMOL X *SANDUNGA), 1983 bay mare, dam of *JIALEAH, great granddam of BARBARELA. *ELENA earned her certificate as a Recognized Field Hunter with Los Altos Hounds, and was Dave Stanley’s favorite hunt mare. *GALAXIA SSB +/ (NEGAL
by GALERO X KADOFA by ZANCUDO), 1985 Grey mare bred by Stanley Ranch, was
shown to the Canadian National Championship Working Hunter title (first
in all three rounds), and Canadian National Top 10 Show Hack in 1992.
GALAXIA SSB +/ was hunted with Los Altos Hounds, and won the
GARBO (ORIVE X BALDOSA by MAQUILLO) 1965 Grey YM Stallion. Premier Stallion at the YM for two decades, also used by Domecq. GARBO was the first son of the fabulous BALDOSA (also dam of ZACATECO by JACIO). GARBO has 1,200 offspring into the second generation. The GARBO horses are known for their courage, stamina, and handsome physiques. GARBO is sire of *PADRE, grandsire of GRANADA I, great grandsire of WRADAR GRANADA I (*PADRE X *KIRAT
II), 1985 Grey mare, dam of WRADAR, has been a Class A Mare Champion and
a dam of sons that have been sires. GRANADA I has hunted for several
seasons and earned her Certificate as a Recognized Field Hunter with Los
Altos Hounds. GRANADA I produced several sons that have been used
as stallions,
JACOBITA (BARQUILLO
X GHAZEL), was foundress of one of the most important Spanish lines.

*KIRAT II (SALUDO X JACOBITA), 1967 Bay mare. Dam of Spanish Reserve CH stallion TARIK, dam of ARRIBA I, DELICADA I. ELECTRA and SR RICO. *KIRAT II was a fabulous mare, who produced fourteen offspring, with numerous Champions in several countries. Jumping talent prevails in this family of Arabian Sport Horses. VARDULO (PACHAKA X LADRONA by ZANCUDO), 1979 Bay YM stallion, sire of *JIALEAH, great grandsire of BARBARELA. I), 2001 Bay stallion, sire of BARBARELA, is now a herd sire in Florida,
and his young owner Hannah Wilkins is riding WRADAR in Three Day Events,
which encompasses Jumping, Dressage and Cross Country phases.
