BDAZZL is an exceptionally beautiful and refined mare, with excellent structure and balance.  BDAZZL’s temperament is lovely and kind, ‘very Spanish’ as our friends there would call her.  BDAZZL is the unusual bay from two grey parents (SHOWKAYCE X ROSE SR SWEET).  BDAZZL is headed for a career in the Arabian Sport Horse arena, with her beautiful conformation, elegance under saddle and airy jumps over 3’6” fences.

BDAZZL can easily show in several disciplines, with her sound work ethic and strong conformation.  She has a lovely shape and set of neck, and a body that exemplifies the best type of elegant Sport Horse, with an excellent sloping shoulder, strong hip and good forearm-cannon bone ratio.  At her first horse show, BDAZZL was US National Top 10, Arabian Sport Horse Nationals 2008, 2 Year old Futurity (3rd in placing).  Both the Dressage and Hunter/Jumper Judge gave BDAZZL marks in the 8’s and 9’s for walk and trot and top marks for conformation.

BDAZZL does everything asked of her with style and grace.  BDAZZL has beautiful  movement and possesses very soft gaits, so she is lovely to ride. The soft trot and canter are a direct heritage from her great grandsire GEBEL TARIK. Molly has ridden four generations of BDAZZL’s family, including great grandsire GEBEL TARIK, granddam *IBERIA and her dam ROSE S R SWEET, and found all of them to be exceptionally lovely riding horses.

Granddam *IBERIA (age 27), is still showing with Cameron Yeatman (age 9), and judges have told us that she is the best child’s show horse out there.  Of course, back in the day, *IBERIA was Canadian National Champion Working Hunter, first in the two over fences rounds, and first again under saddle.  *IBERIA’s form over fences is beautiful and tidy.

BDAZZL went into driving training with Dean Lacey and is accomplished with obstacles and water hazards, which she takes in stride.  BDAZZL pulled the heavy Marathon cart with Dean driving, and often a person on backstep as well.  At a competition BDAZZL drove the miles across country in beautiful form through water and other hazards, and came in at the finish with an outstanding big and building trot, exciting to watch!

Having accomplished the driving part of her training, BDAZZL is now home to work under saddle, looking towards showing in Sport Horse under Saddle, and working Hunter or Jumper.  It would also be good to see her show more in-hand.  BDAZZL surely could have a career in dressage, with her regal carriage and beautiful movement. 

When BDAZZL went into the free jump arena, she astounded everyone with her beautiful forward form and and ease of jumping well above the obstacles.

BDAZZL is a delightful mare that exemplifies so much we cherish in the Spanish Arabian.  They love a job, and they love to show off, a great combination! 

BDAZZL can be a show star and is a once in a lifetime horse for the right owner.

BDAZZL is 50% classic Spanish from her dam ROSE S R SWEET (classic Spanish).  Her sire is SHOWKAYCE (FAME VF) A cross we bet on to produce a winner, and that gene combination was a magic one resulting in the beautiful and multi-talented BDAZZL. 

BDAZZL’s half brother (by SHOWKAYCE) is SHOGUN PGF, Sport Horse Nationals Supreme Champion in-hand, and several times US National Champion Working Hunter, US National Champion Sport Horse stallion, US NATL CH Hunter Hack, and has been named as WAHO  ‘Horse of the Year’ and winner of the WAHO trophy 2007,  awarded to the outstanding Arabian horse in the USA.

The dam’s side of BDAZZL’s pedigree shows many of the very best names in Spanish breeding.  The dam’s sire line is to TABAL, well known as a producer of the extreme type and beauty seen in the *ESTOPA and *G G SAMIR horses in the USA and abroad.

BDAZZL’s tail female line is to the legendary OCALINA, who produced seventeen foals in her lifetime for the Yeguada Militar of Spain.  OCALINA’s daughter KADOFA was produced at the Yeguada Militar, by the great ZANCUDO, broodmare sire supreme.

FAME VF (BEY SHAH X RAFFOLETA-ROSE), 1962 Bay stallion.– US National Champion stallion and founder of a strong and winning Arabian dynasty. 

GEBEL TARIK (JACIO X NOMBELA by GARBO), 1978 Grey stallion.  Bred by Rivero-Miro, owned by Stanley Ranch, Sire of *IBERIA and *GUADALAMINA.

IBERIA , 1986 grey mare, (GEBEL TARIK SSB X KADOFA SSB by ZANCUDO), bred by Stanley Ranch.  *IBERIA has had a career as a Hunter, both in the Hunt Field, where she earned her Certificate as a Recognized Field Hunter with Los Altos Hounds, and in the show ring, as Canadian National Champion Working Hunter (first in all three rounds).  *IBERIA also won many blue ribbons in leadline for granddaughter Katie. *IBERIA produced four daughters, PASCION S, ROSE SR SWEET and VAQUERA (X *ESPERANTO) and CHOCOLAT KISS (X SIEMPRE CIATO). *IBERIA is still in the show ring at age 25, with Cameron Yeatman, age 9.

KADOFA (ZANCUDO X OCALINA), 1969 Chestnut mare, was mated to four stallions, a different one each year at the Stanley Ranch Stud near Seville, Spain.  KADOFA produced four daughters that were imported to the USA.  KADOFA’s daughters are *EFIGIE (X Marmol), *GALAXIA SSB (X Negal), *IBERIA (X Gebel Tarik), and *JEZABEL SSB +// (X *Diamante).  Of the four daughters, three have earned National Championships over fences. The KADOFA descendents have a strong work ethic, which enables them to be so successful in the show ring, and they have left a heritage through the generations of their offspring, certainly including the beautiful BDAZZL.

MARMOL (TABAL X ESCALA II), 1971 Liver Chestnut YM stallion.  Sire of twenty four, including *EFIGIE, *ELENA, *ESPERANTO, ZAKETEKA, and FABIAN.

OCALINA ( SIRIO IV X FARINA), 1951 Chestnut mare, bred by YM.  This is the female line for BDAZZL.  OCALINA was famous at the Yeguada Militar as their 
most productive mare, with seventeen foals.  OCALINA’s influence has spread to several countries.

PASCION S (*ESPERANTO X *IBERIA), full sister of BDAZZL’s dam ROSE S R SWEET, bred by Stanley Ranch. PASCION S was Spanish Futurity Champion at ages 1, 2 and 3.   In 1996, PASCION S won the 2 year old Mare class at the Pacific Coast Arabian Sport Horse Classic, and went on to be Champion Mare. This was the first Sport Horse Show solely for Arabians, Half and Anglo-Arabians, and the forerunner of the Arabian Sport Horse Nationals..  When PASCION S produced CZANTIAGO, Supreme Futurity winner at the Sport horse Nationals 2009, he fulfilled his mother’s prophecy. PASCION S is dam of herd sires TOBASCCO and YO, (X *S S ORION) and Supreme Champion CZANTIAGO (by *GRANIZAR).

ROSE SR SWEET  (*ESPERANTO X *IBERIA), 1996 Grey Mare, bred by Stanley Ranch, is descended from TABAL through her sire *ESPERANTO (by MARMOL by TABAL) and her dam’s sire GEBEL TARIK (by JACIO by TABAL.  ROSE SR SWEET is dam of BDAZZL by SHOWKAYCE, and CIRRIUS by *S S ORION.  Both her offspring, by quite different stallions, have been US Top 10 Futurity.
ROSE SR SWEET is a favorite hunt mare for Molly.  ROSE has the same sweet nature she passed on to her daughter BDAZZL, and she shows a good gallop across country when asked. It is always a pleasure to ride her soft gaits. And she looks good doing it!

SHOWKAYCE (FAME VF X KAY by KAIYOUM), 1992 grey stallion with a distinctive ‘bloody shoulder’ marking, said to be a sign of a good sire.  This is  BDAZZL’s sire, and has been a legendary producer of winners in Sport Horse disciplines, in-hand, under saddle, Working Hunters,  Jumpers, and Dressage as well as many Champions in the main ring halter and performance.

TABAL (CONGO X HILANDERA) is legendary for his legacy of beauty and talent 
in both sons and daughters.  Many are owned by the State Stud of Spain (Yeguada Militar), and also by a number of private breeders.  We have visited two private Arabian studs, each founded solely through the descendents of one daughter, each, of TABAL.
