TRIANA

(PICAZZO x JIALEAH by VARDULO)
Classical Spanish bay mare, May 5, 1998

See video of TRIANA here.

The heritage of TRIANA comes down from distance and cross country horses of the Yeguada Militar.  TRIANA does exemplify the fact that the Spanish Arabians are really Military horses, and built to go the distance, whatever terrain presents.

TRIANA is a lovely mannered and loving mare. She has produced two outstanding fillies to date, from Spanish stallions of two dissimilar bloodlines, both fillies very talented. They are BARBARELA (x WRADAR) and CHARMD (x SIEMPRE CIATO)

BARBARELA, clear flaxen chestnut 2006 mare (x WRADAR) looks to be a fabulous and loose limbed jumping horse.  We took several horses to the ranch and put them in the free jump arena with small poles, and later, some higher ones.  BARBARELA, then two, found her way over everything with a steady easy pace, to be rated best of the day.

CHARMD (x SIEMPRE CIATO) was a very big baby and as a two year old  was big as anyone in the 2 and 3 year old pasture including the grown mare there.  Long legged and beautiful, CHARMD will have that effect on many judges.  CHARMD followed her name and CHARMD her way into Kerry Redente’s heart, and is taking up residence in Colorado with Kerry.

TRIANA is SCID carrier and CA N/CA.

TRIANA is priced at $7,500, with a breeding to EXODUS I +//.

*ELENA, granddam of TRIANA, was Dave Stanley’s favorite hunt mare, and they went many a mile across country.  *ELENA and *JIALEAH both earned their Certificates as Recognized Field Hunters with Los Altos Hounds.

TRIANA’s sire PICAZZO was an exceptionally good stallion, and was Champion Stallion of the first Pacific Coast Arabian Sport Horse Classic and Top 10 Scottsdale Hunter Pleasure.

TRIANA’s grandsire *ESPERANTO was a successful show horse in-hand High Score Halter Stallion in Wisconsin 1989) and under saddle in English Pleasure.
