U LA LA has a sweet and loving nature and seeks the company of her people.  U LA LA  has had under saddle and over fences training, but does not care much for horse shows.  She would rather have someone jump up on her bareback and ride around the pasture or down the road. 

U LA LA can be an exceptional broodmare, with her very fine Classical Spanish pedigree that has many of the greats up close in the first four generations.  Her granddams are *GALAXIA SSB +/ and *DISCOTECA +/, both National Champions over fences.  Her great granddams are CANTINERA II, KADOFA, YUCA and SABA, some of the very best of the best of producing mares of Spain. 

U LA LA has the build of an athlete, with a beautifully shaped and high set neck She has a lovely balanced body with wonderful lay of shoulder, short back and deep strong hip.  U LA LA has correct, strong, refined legs.  A true daughter of ISABELLA I, and granddaughter of *DISCOTECA +/, both Sport Horse Champion Mares in-hand.  Beauty runs in the family, and so does beautifully balanced conformation.

CANTINERA II (MALVITO X URAL) 1961 Bay YM mare.  CANTINERA II was always known at the Yeguada Militar of Spain as the ‘Queen of Spain’, and the best daughter of MALVITO.  *GHAZEL tail female line, through GOMARA.
CANTINERA II produced three stallions who have get at the YM and private breeders, they are  UVAL, PALMA REAL and SABLE (X GARBO).
CANTINERA II produced six daughters to ZANCUDO, including *OCHAVA.
CANTINERA had one son born at Stanley Ranch and exported to the USA, *ESPERANTO by MARMOL. Great grand dam of U LA LA.

1982 Chestnut Mare, Stanley Ranch bred. *DISCOTECA +/ was a sweet natured mare with lovely Sport Horse conformation and good legs. Amazing jumping ability and an effortless big stride took *DISCOTECA +/ to the top as the only Arabian to date to achieve a US National Champion Jumper and US National Champion Working Hunter Championship in the same year.  *DISCOTECA +/ was hunted with Los Altos Hounds by Lisa Stapleton, and earned her Certificate as a Recognized Field Hunter, and Lisa’s hunt colors.  *DISCOTECA +/ was gifted with jumping ability, the “mare that could jump from anywhere”.  Maternal granddam of U LA LA.

*ESPERANTO (MARMOL X CANTINERA II), Stanley Ranch bred.  Successful show horse, Stallion in-hand, and was High Score Halter Stallion of Wisconsin, also Champion English Pleasure. *ESPERANTO has offspring that are Champions in many disciplines.  *ESPERANTO, with his big MALVITO eyes, charisma, and the power of impulsion which fueled his big trot, left a legacy in both his sons and daughters.  *ESPERANTO (by MARMOL) was the only son outside the Yeguada Militar of Spain from the ‘Queen of Spain’, CANTINERA II.   Grandsire of U LA LA. 

GARBO (ORIVE X BALDOSA by MAQUILLO) 1965 Grey YM Stallion.  Premier Stallion at the YM for two decades, also used by Domecq.  GARBO was the first son of the fabulous BALDOSA (also dam of ZACATECO by JACIO).  GARBO has 1,200 offspring into the second generation.  The GARBO horses are known for their courage, stamina, and handsome physiques.  GARBO is twice in the pedigree of U LA LA.

HABON II (MAQUILLO X IMPEDIDA by GANDHY) 1966 Grey YM Stallion.  HABON II was the wheel horse in the tandem driving exhibitions of the Yeguada Militar.
HABON II was out of one of the three greatest daughters of GANDHY, who were IMELINA, IMPEDIDA, and GALATIFE.  HABON II was a big bodied, lovely moving, kind natured stallion who was posted to Stanley Ranch, Spain by the Yeguada Militar.

ISABELLA I (*PADRE X *DISCOTECA +/ by HABON II) 1986 bright Chestnut Mare, Stanley Ranch bred.  ISABELLA had eleven foals, but still retained the fit body of an athlete all her life into her twenties.  ISABELLA I was a tireless Cross Country horse, and also was shown to blues in Hunter Pleasure, Hunter Hack, and Sport Horse Mares in-hand.  She and her dam *DISCOTECA +/were shown in-hand when in their teens, and always stood at the head of their class, and CH and Res CH Mare.  ISABELLA I was also ridden out hunting many times with Los Altos Hounds.  Dam of U LA LA.

KADOFA (ZANCUDO X OCALINA), YM mare, purchased at auction by Stanley Ranch. KADOFA was never able to be imported to the USA, but had four daughters who were imported. Of the four daughters, three were Canadian and US National Champions in Working Hunters and Jumpers, *GALAXIA SSB +/ (X NEGAL), *IBERIA (X GEBEL TARIK), and *JEZABEL SSB +// (X *DIAMANTE).  The fourth daughter, *EFIGIE (X MARMOL), was Regional Champion in Pleasure Driving, Informal Combination, Country Pleasure and Show Hack.  KADOFA was a ‘sire producer’, as her offspring each strongly resembled the sire, but all inherited her heart and winning ways.

MARMOL (TABAL X ESCALA II by MAQUILLO) 1971 Chestnut YM Stallion, used principally by two private breeders, S.A.R Teresa de Borbon, and by Stanley Ranch. We found the MARMOL offspring to be tall, with beautifully set necks, a fine hair coat, extreme action and athletic ability.  The imported offspring of MARMOL in the USA are *EFIGIE, Show Champion, *ELENA, Recognized Field Hunter, and *ESPERANTO. Show Champion and Sport Horse Sire Supreme.  Great grandsire of U LA LA.

NEGAL (GALERO X NEBLINA by GARBO) 1977 Grey stallion, bred by Domecq.  NEGAL had the longest neck, on measurement, of all Stanley Ranch stallions, a trait he has passed strongly to his grandson PICAZZO and his granddaughter WASAABI, who passed the trait to her son DUCCATI.  NEGAL was a beautiful moving stallion, well trained for riding and driving.  Sire of *GALAXIA SSB +/, g grandsire of U LA LA. 

*PADRE (GARBO X YUCA), 1972 Grey Stallion.  *PADRE is Supreme Champion Stallion of Spain and sire, grandsire, great grandsire of Spanish Champion Stallions. Sire of ABUTIG, Supreme Champion Stallion who founded a dynasty at Domecq.  *PADRE is sire of National and Supreme Champions in 4 countries.  *PADRE has one hundred seventeen offspring, who possess Championships, as the Arabians would say, “Like stars in the sky, too numerous to count.” Maternal grandsire of U LA LA.

PICAZZO (*ESPERANTO x *GALAXIA SSB +/) 1994 Bay Stallion.  16 hand bright bay stallion, a very impressive horse with a beautiful ‘oily’ trot that earned PICAZZO a Top 10 Scottsdale Hunter Pleasure award.  Owner Deb Sween remarked “I have never put a leg over a more natural and talented Hunter Pleasure horse”.  Sire of U LA LA.

SABA (DANDI II X *JALEA III by ZANCUDO) 1976 Grey YM mare.  SABA was a big trotting, big bodied, big eyed mare, the epitome of the Spanish term ‘Noble”, to describe a horse that is loving and careful around people.  SABA was out of *JALEA III was also the dam of JALEA’s ET.  A famous female line.  Great granddam of U LA LA.

TABAL (CONGO X HILANDERA) 1952 Grey YM Stallion.  Famous for his production of daughters and sons who have founded dynasties.  There are entire stud farms based on the production of one son or daughter of TABAL, as we see with the mares *ESTOPA and NEVISCA.  In U LA LA’s pedigree, TABAL is the third generation on top, through his son MARMOL.  G G grandsire of U LA LA.

YUCA ( FABULOSO X FIFINELLA) 1955 Grey Mare.  YUCA is granddaughter of GOMARA, through her dam FIFINELLA, We asked don Luis Ybarra to name the greatest mare in the history of their breeding farm, and don Luis replied instantly
“GOMARA, the dam of GANDHY!”  Her grand daughter YUCA is dam of *PADRE.
