WASAABI is a sweet tempered, very good producing liver chestnut Spanish mare.

WASAABI is a daughter of *S S ORION, a son of FAKETEKO and grandson of ZACATECO, the World Arabian Assn Trophy winners for Spain, 2005 and 2007.  *S S ORION, was produced at the stud farm of S.A.R. Teresa de Borbon, and imported from Spain by the Stanley Ranch.  He has Championships or Top Fives in Dressage, Hunter Hack, Working Hunter, and Jumper.  He is the sire or grandsire of Champions in Dressage, Sport Horse In-Hand, Sport Horse Under Saddle, Hunter Hack and Distance Riding Best Condition.    *S S ORION has produced winners in Hunters, Jumpers, Sport Horse under Saddle, Sport Horse in-hand, distance and endurance riding.

Her dam, *GALAXIA SSB, is Canadian National Champion Working Hunter, Top Ten English Show Hack, Top Five in Sport Horse Under Saddle ATR, and has wins in Hunter Pleasure Open and AT, Hunter Hack and Dressage Open, AO and AT.  She is the dam or granddam of winners in Hunter Pleasure and Sport Horse In-Hand.

WASAABI wears her heritage well and in her turn has produced a bay 2006 filly, MWANZA (by WRADAR), and a grey 2008 colt, DUCCATI (by GUAPO CHICO), both ‘Top Tens’ in size, conformation and athletic ability, and by different bloodline Spanish stallions, proving her ability as an outstanding broodmare.  WASAABI’s foals more nearly resemble the sires (as did her granddam KADOFA’s).

WASAABI is started under saddle and is suitable for light riding, or as a broodmare.  Priced at $8,500 in foal to EXODUS I +//  or CZANTIAGO (the foal would be eligible for the Sport Horse National Payback Program).

*GALAXIA SSB, dam of WASAABI, was born at the Stanley Ranch in Spain.  She is by the GALERO son NEGAL, and out of the ZANCUDO daughter KADOFA (dam of three US and Canadian National Champions).

*GALAXIA SSB descends in tail female from the famous OCALINA, a mare bred by the Yeguada Militar of Spain, sired by SIRIO IV (bred by the Duque de Veragua) and out of FARINA (KASHMIR x LAMPARA by ECO). This female line traces in two more generations to the Polish import KADRANKA.

KADRANKA was a grey born at Sachny in Poland in 1903.  Her sire was a Koubeschan Ebni d.b. and her dam Satyra, by Seglawi II out of Arabka.  KADRANKA was imported by the Yeguada Militar in 1906 and died in 1916.

WASAABI is one of only two daughters produced by *GALAXIA SSB.  The second is ANNDROMADA by SIEMPRE CIATO.
